Step Beyond the Veil

(Words & Music by Kevin Jacobson)
STEP BEYOND THE VEIL
This song was written for my friend Debbie O'Dell. She helped teach me about really being a worshipper - - and the sacrifice involved in being a worship leader. She taught me that worship isn't just something we do on Sunday, but it is a vital part of our relationship with Jesus and it needs to be woven into the very fabric of our lives. She has impacted my life and my personal ministry more than I could ever say.

There is a place that I can know the Savior.
There is a cross that made the way for me.
There is a call that Jesus chose to answer,
And in that call He gave His life,
He gave everything for me.

(Chorus)
Step beyond the veil, into the arms of Jesus.
Step beyond the veil, into the presence of God.
Lord cleanse me in the fountain
and consume me in the fire.
Now I stand surrendered,
Your pleasure's my desire.
Oh Lord cleanse me in the fountain
and consume me in the fire.
As I step beyond the veil.

There is a place that I can know the Father.
There is a love that made the way for me.
But there is a call that I must choose to answer,
And in that call I lose my life
To what He has for me.
(Repeat Chorus)
