It is amazing to me that 2012 is less than two weeks away, and that we will be celebrating Christmas next Sunday. I have to say, I am very thankful that 2011 is coming to a close. This has been one of the most difficult years of my life in every area. Physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually.
Some of the difficulty came through no fault of my own - - there were circumstances beyond my control. Some of the difficulty came because of my personal decisions and choices that I made. But through it all, the good and the bad, there was the faithfulness of the Lord. His grace that is poured out on my life; His mercies that are new every morning gave me peace and comfort in the midst of the darkest days and in the midst of my own stupidity.
I love "The Song of Mary" where she exclaims in Luke 1:46-47, "My soul magnifies the Lord and my Spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior." (NKJV). That is what I proclaim! I rejoice in God my Savior!
Jesus, Savior, Emmanuel, God with us!
If you are wondering or wandering; seeking or serving; take a moment from the sales, the parties, the church activities, the general busyness of life to turn your focus again to a stable in Bethlehem that became a throne room for the King! The moment that the mercy of Heaven was unfolded in a manger.
Thank you Lord that You loved us so much!
Merry Christmas!
Kevin
